Tyscot Records To Drop Two New Singles This Friday | @Tyscot

Tyscot Records is enjoying another good week on the coveted Billboard Gospel Airplay chart. Anthony Brown & group therAPy’s “This Week” is No. 11 this week. Grammy® winner PJ Morton’s “All in His Plan” – which features Le’Andria Johnson and Mary Mary – scoots from No. 15 to No. 14 on the tally. Rizen’s lead vocalist Adriann Lewis-Freeman’ lands her first solo hit with the bouncy “You Been So Good” which hits No. 25 with a bullet. Bri Babineaux’s “Baptize Us Again” is holding tight at No. 27 while her sophomore album, The Encounter (Briana Babineaux / Tyscot / Integrity) makes its debut on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums consumption chart at No. 8 for the week ending April 18th.

There are two big digital releases coming Friday, April 17th. Louisville, KY’s Jason Clayborn & the Atmosphere Changers are bringing the traditional gospel choir sound back into vogue with their rousing track “Creator.” Also, acclaimed praise and worship leader, Benita Jones, will issue the passionate ballad “Still Everything” from her forthcoming summer album release, The Entreating (Tyscot/Integrity), which is available for pre-order now.


The radio-edit of Ruth La’Ontra’s soul-stirring remake of The Thompson Community Singers’ 1994 chestnut “In My Name” will hit all digital service providers on May 1st. In the meantime, the song moves to No. 29 on this week’s Mediabase Gospel Airplay chart and is bubbling right under the Billboard Top 30 Gospel Airplay chart.

Tyscot also shouts-out GoDigiPath, LLC distribution on the successful release of The First Ladies of Gospel: The Clark Sisters Biopic Soundtrack (Releve Entertainment) as a companion to the Lifetime cable network’s film on the legendary sister act. According to Nielsen, the film pulled 2.7 million viewers on April 11th – the network’s highest rated original movie since 2016. Meanwhile, the album has been trending in the Top Ten of Amazon.com’s overall album sales chart alongside projects by the late John Prine, Bob Dylan and The Weeknd.
