Glory Chuku-Umunna was born, the third of five children on the 19th day of July in Luanda, Angola. She began her formal education in Europe, (then Yugoslavia, now Serbia and Montenegro), and completed her secondary education in the Republic of Benin.

In 2007, Glory obtained her BSc from the University of Nigeria and proceeded to Lagos in 2008 for her Youth Service. It was at this time that she ventured into the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant, organised by Silverbird Television. She emerged the winner, thus becoming the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, 2009 and Nigeria’s representative at the Miss World pageant in the same year.

She has been a speaker and facilitator in youth seminars and led charity initiatives during her tenure as MGBN 2009. After crowning her successor, she proceeded to complete a master’s degree and presently works as a registered nurse. Born into a Christian family, Glory’s love for gospel music grew early. She joined her family church choir at the age of 8 and has ever since continued to embrace the worship of God in music and song.

Being a lover of Christ, Glory currently serves in her local church choir and teenage department.

She is happily married and blessed with two children.
